Position Description

NewLeaf Symbiotics, an agricultural biologicals company, has an immediate opening for a Logistics Leader, with experience in procurement, shipping and cost optimization, to join the team at NewLeaf’s headquarters located at the BRDG Park facility of the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, in St. Louis, Missouri. We are seeking an individual with a passion for sustainable agriculture and biological solutions, and who has expertise logistics coordination. Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory levels at several contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs).
  • Order manufacturing ingredients through multiple distributors throughout the world.
  • Plan product shipments to customers as orders are received
  • Assist with production coordination and packaging
  • Optimize manufacturing and shipping costs

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree with 10+ years business experience.
  • Solid understanding of shipping, warehousing, trucking, and logistics
  • Able to provide appropriate, consistent and timely communication with suppliers and customers.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles to categorize manufacturing costs appropriately
  • Strong customer service mindset
