NewLeaf Symbiotics Adds Vice President of Manufacturing

NewLeaf Symbiotics announced today that Aaron Kelley, Ph.D. has joined the company as Vice President of Manufacturing.

Kelley joins the NewLeaf team with more than 18 years of experience in bio-process development, manufacturing, and business operations. He has a strong engineering background focused on the development and launch of new products from previous positions with Amyris and DuPont Industrial Biosciences.

“Aaron brings a high-level of bio-process and manufacturing expertise that are essential to NewLeaf as we expand our NewLeaf Technology portfolio. We are bringing more options to our customers insuring larger, more sustainable yield at harvest,” says Desmond Jimenez, Vice President of Product Development.

Kelley earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and has experience in discerning customer needs and a proven track record scaling and launching biotechnology, agricultural, food ingredient, and animal nutrition products.

“What attracted me to NewLeaf was the caliber of its management, its singular focus on M-trophs, and the incredible depth of knowledge in the company. I look forward to building the team’s competency to further scale the manufacturing process to meet growing customer demand,” Kelley said.

NewLeaf’s NewLeaf Technology technology brings a new class of agricultural biologicals to the market. NewLeaf Technology 401 for soybeans and NewLeaf Technology 402 for peanuts have been launched in the US in 2018.
